Jeremy Sohlstrom

Jeremy Sohlstrom is an author, speaker, explorer, and healthcare worker from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Though new to ocean rowing, he is no stranger to adventure, exploration, discomfort, or pushing beyond his comfort zone. His journeys have included spending eight months at the South Pole, an unforgettable expedition deep into the jungles of Guyana, hiking the African plains with Samburu warriors, and serving some of the world’s poorest communities in places like India and Haiti.

Jeremy is drawn to the epic scope of an Atlantic crossing, but equally to the inner journey that comes with it. For him, the ocean is the outward adventure; the personal transformation that comes from being tested may be the greater journey.

Jeremy hopes to use the voyage as a platform to raise awareness and support for Action Against Hunger, whose work saves lives by treating severe acute malnutrition in 55 countries, expanding access to safe water, and helping vulnerable communities build lasting solutions to hunger. For Jeremy, this journey is about more than crossing an ocean. It’s an opportunity to take on an extraordinary challenge while helping shine a light on work that truly matters.
