Sometimes the journey is the destination.

It all started with being a Veteran. Being one gave me the opportunity to learn to row through Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI) outreach program, and as a Veteran I wanted to give back to the program that gave me so much.

Now in 2026, I want to do it again.

In 2012, I rowed across the Atlantic Ocean as part of Team Titan from Spain to Barbados and I used that platform to donate to Home Base, a national nonprofit dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen. Regardless of era of service, discharge status or geographical location, they provide world-class, direct clinical care, wellness, education and research – all at no cost to them.

Over the past eight years, I have been the owner of Power Rowing, LLC in Brookline MA. This has been an enormous honor for me because I have helped bring fitness and rowing to an entire community.

A big part of our charter as a fitness center has been to raise money for local non-profits. In the past five years we have raised over $30,000.

For the next year, I am going to be focusing those efforts on raising funds for Home Base, a nonprofit providing veteran and family care.
