Rowing allows me the opportunity to switch off from my every day worries and stresses of work/family. Being out on the water, whether on the sea or in the harbour gives me a feeling of euphoria that I do not experience anywhere else.

 

I am looking forward mainly to the huge challenge of pushing myself to the max both physically and mentally, to be a valued part of an incredible team. I really enjoy endurance races and have taken part in some challenging races such as The Great River Race, Ramsey Island, Round Hayling Island etc but none come close to rowing 3500 miles across the North Atlantic. I’m also looking forward to the isolation and the amazing opportunity to have time out from life to just be free to think and enjoy nature.
