The next chapter: preparing Nimbus for 2027

London Calling Row is preparing for a Boston-to-London expedition in 2027. Bryan hopes to depart on a weekend in late May or early June, with the launch date and location still to be confirmed.

The planned crossing is approximately 3,250 miles, passing the Isles of Scilly before following the southern English coast and heading up the Thames. The crew expects 40–50 days at sea, depending on weather and currents.

Nimbus, the 28-foot Spindrift, is now stored at Hyannis Marina. The boat was recovered after mechanical complications, including electrical-system failure, led to the suspension of the 2024 attempt and the crew being airlifted to safety.

This journal will follow the preparations, the people, the lessons from previous crossings, and the work ahead.
